Studio lighting setup #01, cherry background.

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

This studio lighting setup is quite susceptible to model position change. However it is very interesting and you are sure to enjoy it much from the very start. In this session I use cherry background from Colorama and highlight it using two sources to get the lighting design against the background required. To make the colour gradient use blue filter at the left softbox, the right light source creates a lighter spot against the background. Adjust its power to create continuous tone between the right and left parts of the background. Two side reflectors will help you to emphasize the contour of the model underpart. And of course, use beauty dish as key light to create the primary lighting design. I hope you like it! Stay tuned! (Equipment: Canon 5D Mark II with Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM – Bowens Gemini 500).
