Studio lighting setup #03, charcoal background.
This interesting studio lighting setup comprises two light sources and a silver reflector to be placed on the floor (horizontal) in front of the model. This scheme is characterized by high susceptibility to movement: this is the best lighting setup option for those shooting a moving model. In this case I use one of my favourite background colours – charcoal from Colorama. For this studio lighting setup the model-to-background distance seems to be one of the most important parameters. Changing it you will regulate the shades against the background. I am going to describe another studio lighting setup option (Studio lighting setup #04) that is quite similar to that shown above and provides a simpler way to control lighting design in a short time. I wish you successful light experiments! Cya!(Equipment: Canon 5D Mark II with Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM – Bowens Gemini 500).
