Studio lighting setup #07, cherry background.
Friday, August 21st, 2009This scheme is very similar to the studio lighting setup #03, but don’t think that we will have the same result. When we substitute silver reflector for fill light, that we place behind the camera, and change back-light angle, we will achieve more uniform illumination of the whole image and fill all the shadows till necessary level. Hereafter it will be very easy to control the general level of exposure with fill light. In this example I use the background of cherry color from Colorama. Its color has been changed with the help of сolor temperature when processing the RAW-file. Shooting at an angle, as it shown on the scheme, will allow taking more shadows against the background in shot and creating more volume to the image. Next time I will try to show you how a picture changes in terms of shooting angle change and replacement of the background color with the same light scheme. The result is very interesting. Сya next time! (Equipment : Canon 5D Mark II with Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM – Bowens Gemini 500).
