Probably you have not once met the images where there are shades against the background like sunlight shadows. This studio lighting setup gives such shades but softer ones! To my mind the effect is very interesting and is once more proof that the white background is good not only for creating “isolated on white”. This studio lighting setup comprises 4 light sources and all of them, instead of the beauty dish, are placed over model head at a height of about 2.7 metres, beauty dish – at face height, and are directed down at an angle. A shade against the background will be regulated easily with the key light. While fill lights will help us to create shade gradient from lighter to darker shade to the image bottom, which is very interesting feature of this studio lighting setup.
